My name is Mariam and I am the founder of Child Sleep Guru.


With a four year old little boy, I know first hand what it's like to have a cranky baby who wakes up multiple times a night, takes inconsistent naps, and has troubles sleeping. I've huddled into a corner and cried, been sleep deprived, and nearly lost hope on numerous occasions. The one thing I tell every parent, is that it WILL get better. I work with families all over the world, and together we will come up with a customized plan that works. Why sleep is so important

Getting the proper amount of sleep is crucial for everyone in the family. For babies, sleep is essential for the maturation of the brain and memory. Infants who lack sleep will have frequent night wakings and be crankier throughout the day. Several studies have also shown babies who get less sleep will gain more fat and are at higher risk of being overweight. 

In toddlers, lack of sleep may cause behavioral issues, frequent tantrums, night terrors, restless leg syndrome, and an increased risk of diabetes. As they get older, problems in school may arise, and various mental disorders may appear such as ADHD and depression.

Even adults need a full night's sleep for their overall health and well being. Lack of sleep impairs performance and will generate poor concentration and mood changes. This is why getting help for your child will benefit the entire family. With your child on a set schedule, you will be more rested and happier, an your child will benefit from getting the proper amount of sleep as well.
